Payea wins Furniture World Spring Green
5.11.09
Afer two third place finishes in the first two races Payea breaks through to victory lane
Race three on the ACT Tour at the newly redesigned Airborne Speedway was rescheduled to Sunday after
rain put a damper on racing on Saturday. Under cloudy and cool skies 34 teams took the green for the
100 lap race.
Scott started 9th after finishing 2nd in his heat race and earning a +1. Airbornes
new surface provided multiple racing grooves and Scott began to slowly make his way to the front using both the inside and outside
lanes. After a few restarts Scott had made his way to third and watche as Randy Potter and Brad Leighton battled for the lead.
As the race wound down Potter was finally able to slip past Leighton on the inside and Scott followed him. Then off turn two with only a
handful of laps left Scott was able to get under Potter for the lead. Just after clearing Potter with three laps to go the caution flag
flew settup up a shootout for the finish.

Scott a spot at the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September.
Next stop for the ACT Tour is Oxford Plains Speedway Sunday May, 17.

ACT Tour Opener Lee USA
4.20.09
The first race of the season is in the books and the CP Motorsports team has started
out strong finishing 3rd.
45 teams showed up to practice on Saturday and then attempt to make it into the 30 car field
for the New Hampshire Govenor's Cup 150. Scott and the team took full advantage of the Saturday practice
and made numerous adjustments to the car.
Sunday morning the team rolled through tech and drew for qualifying, Scott would start 6th in his heat race.
With the top four from the heat transfering to the feature the team had some work to do. In the heat Scott
was able to work his way up to finish second, qualifying for the feature with a +4.
The +4 was good enough to earn the 4th place starting position in the feature. Teammates Brian Hoar and Mike Olsen
occupied the first row. On lap 2 as Scott made his way to the outside of Hoar they came of turn four and Hoar
pinched Scott into the wall and John Donahue go into the back of Scott. The car showed body damage and seemed mechanically
sound so Scott continued on, however later the team would find that the impact bent a shock and lower control arm.
After another couple of rough starts to the race it finally went green. Scott was able to work his way up to second.
After another restart Scott was able to get by Mike Olsen for the lead. A caution on lap 52 set up a great duel
between Scott and Joey Pole. They raced side by side for a number of laps before Pole took the lead. The race continued
green and eventual winner Brad Leighton made his way by dropping Scott to third where he would eventually finish.
The entire CP Motorsports team was excited to bring home a solid showing in the season opener. The Tour now heads to
Thunder Road for the Merchant's Bank 150, a race they have won for the past two years.

Racing kicks off at Daytona this weekend
2.13.09
The Daytona 500 is this Sunday and that means stock car racing in the Northeast
is just around the corner. Like most teams Scott and the CP Motorsports team have been busy
in the off season working hard in the shop.
The team is looking forward to an exciting season in 2009 after just missing the title in 2008.
On the schedule will be two stops at a redesigned Airborne Park Speedway, trips to Beech Ridge Motor
Speedway and Twinstate Speedway, neither of which the team has been to before. Then there is the
invitational race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Nextel Cup weekend in September.
Things are full steam ahead in the shop as the car is prepared for the season opener at Lee USA Speedway.
The team is especially excited to return to Thunder Road Speedbowl for the second stop on the 2009 ACT Tour
for the Merchants Bank 150 and look to win for the third straight year.
